Sam and Sarah noticed each other at a mutual friend’s party and both swear they had an unspoken connection that night.
Sam confessed that he had noticed her long before the party while working at the same hospital. Sarah admitted she had noticed him too but didn’t say anything either. Something about that night caused a spark to go off.
Sam waited a few days then approached Sarah via the internet after the party
His first “love note” read…
And with this quick Facebook message, they kicked off the beginning of something life changing…
They both smiled ear-to-ear recalling their first date:
Sarah wanted to impress Sam by claiming she was athletic (though she hadn’t hit a gym up since high school). Sam was very active at his gym and invited her to work out together for their first date. A totally adorable romantic comedy in the making!
Sarah swears she was pretty convincing. Sam swears she was totally obvious but in the most adorable way.
As they began to hang out, they became best friends. They love to crack jokes, go on adventures, adopted the most adorable puppy (Luna) together, and even do real life athletic things (like Kayaking for 12 miles in Arkansas).
They were quick to boast about the other and the fun they have together but most importantly the way their faces would light up when they talk about each other spoke volumes more.
They planned the perfect wedding day but when it doesn’t just rain… it downright pours, you roll with it and make it part of the wedding day vibes!
Their day was filled with lots or rain, which added the most amazing romantic feel. They were married by candlelight surrounded by their closest friends, family, and ten-thousand white rose petals as the sound of rain beat down on the tin roof. Even the Rain couldn’t put out their spark!

Two of the cutest people I have ever met got married.
The self-proclaimed book worms and lovers of all things Harry Potter fell in love working at the movie theater together in college. While they share so many similarities (including ginger hair color and receiving their Master of Library and Information Science degrees from LSU) they also find a perfect complement in each other’s differences. Where Randa loves to plan and have typed out lists (including her vows) Wesley lives in the moment with LOTS of heart and a quick hand written sentiment (including his vows!). He is quick to bring out the spontaneity in life. Where Wesley is more introverted in public, Randa is his voice.. in the words of Wesley, she is the “Aaron to his Moses”.
I so loved getting to document these guys and couldn’t help but smile the while day as two of the cutest gingers tied the knot!
p.s. They had the BEST hashtag….. #2happygingers
